We are looking for a passionate and skillful Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team and help achieve our goal of building homes for the wellbeing of our community.
Responsibilities:
• Develop design concept strategy for residential multi-family and commercial projects which are in line with the project and company goals
• Present design concepts to internal stakeholders
• Review consultants’ drawings for co-ordination to meet overall project objectives
• Manage projects in various stages – pre-permit through construction
• Final selection, arrangement, and presentation of layout of colour scheme and finishes for suites and common area
• Prepare construction documents and specifications while maintaining the integrity of the CAD/REVIT directory and its structure
• Research and decide on materials and products sourcing
• Participate in the selection of furniture, fabrics and finishes with a skill for colour coordination and strong sense of balance
• Support coordination of the finished plans, details, and specifications
Skills and Attributes:
• Strong knowledge of the design process
• Project management experience
• Process oriented
• Ability to communicate design ideas effectively with close attention to detail
• Ability to multitask multiple projects in various stages of development
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Complete work efficiently and in a timely fashion
• Must have proficiency working in AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Word, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp an asset
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-10 years work experience in residential multi-family and commercial interior design
• Minimum 2-3 years work experience in project management
• Have an industry recognized Diploma or Degree in Interior Design.
• Strong ability in AutoCAD, Revit, Google Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Strong knowledge of the design process including FF&E, specifications and finishes selection
• Additional 3D software skills are an asset
